I’m all about super easy and inexpensive decorations. These yarn Easter Eggs are super cute, super inexpensive and super easy to make!
All you need is some yarn, I like the multicolored stuff, glue, a water balloon for each egg you want to make, and something to mix the glue and yarn together in.
Start by putting about 6 feet of the yarn into a small cup (I used the plastic cup from some muffin tins) and cover it with glue. Start to wrap the yarn around the balloon. Crossing it back and forth over itself until all of your yarn is used up.
Once you have your balloon all wrapped up you will need to let it dry AT LEAST over night. I let mine dry for 2 days. Then pop your water balloon to get your finished egg. When you pop your balloon it might “warp” your egg a little but you should be able to reform any parts that aren’t quite right.
Your eggs can be hung from a string for hanging egg decorations or you can put them in a glass bowl and use them as a center piece on your table.
